Jules is an impact investor, 3-time entrepreneur and ‘intrapreneur.’ She is currently a General Partner at LunaCap Ventures, a venture debt fund investing in military veteran, women and minority founders, and was previously COO of gender lens investing pioneer BRAVA Investments. Jules co-founded and led two legal tech companies: Evolve Law (acquired by Breaking Media/Above the Law), a community of entrepreneurs and innovators accelerating the adoption of technology in the legal industry, and Hire an Esquire, a venture-backed tech startup providing attorneys on-demand to law firms and in-house legal teams. She has worked on legal innovation projects with firms such as Thomson Reuters and Cadwalader, and has been acknowledged as a leader in legal innovation by the FastCase 50 and the ABA Legal Technology Resources Center’s “Women of Legal Tech.” Previously she co-founded Carbonado Group, an environmental sustainability consulting firm, and spent 7 years as an ‘intraprenuer’ helping companies including EY, Salesforce.com and Tiffany & Co. to launch and grow new business units around environmental and social responsibility. Jules earned her BA from UCLA and her MSc from The London School of Economics. She is currently a Kauffman Fellow and an active mentor to high school girls pursuing careers in tech through BBG Ventures’ #BUILTBYGIRLS program.
